Dubbing in French, English and Spanish
“Voice dubbing” is “the replacement of the original language of filming of an audiovisual work (film, series, etc.) by a language spoken by the population of the geographical areas where the work is to be broadcast”.
In other words, dubbing consists in “placing” a voice (in French for example) on that of a foreign actor, following the movement of their lips (lip sync in English) and the intensity of their acting, so that the audiovisual work is understandable by the target audience (French in our case).
The voice dubbing of an actor therefore requires both acting and technical skills.
Depending on the country, the dubbing actor follows a “rhythm band” (text that runs under the screen – in France for example) or works “on paper” (Spain). This is directed by an artistic director and a sound engineer takes care of the recording.
During a decade of voice dubbing, I have lent my voice to internationally renowned actors like Colin Farrell, Cuba Gooding Jr., Ving Rhames and more, in numerous films and also in TV series and cartoons.
International Sound Studio, Universal Cinergia, Telemundo, 103 Todd-AO Estudios, Canal + … There are many dubbing studios that use my voice for their film and television productions. I have more than 500 films and other series to my credit!
Do you have a character to be dubbed? A whole project* to discuss with me? I have the voice AND the skills to do it!
